Hello everyone! We would like to announce the official opening of our Med spa! We like to have scheduled appointments since we do run an urgent care, and any med spa treatments take quite a long time. We offer many things but let us go over a few of them now.

Want to schedule an appointment? Click here!

Right now, we have chemical peels, acne treatments, facials, lymphatic drainage and many more planned (which will be posted to our social media sites as we add more)!

Chemical Peels
We offer many different chemical peels. We make sure you know exactly what your skin needs! We don’t want to overdo it when your skin cannot handle it. Of course, we will consult you before your appointment starts to make sure you get exactly what you want. Down below are some of the chemical peels we offer, all in varying strengths! (Of course, please let us know if you are allergic to ANYTHING!!)

20% Alpha-Hydroxy Acid Peel

We have a 20% Alpha-Hydroxy Acid (AHA) that is made with orange enzymes and spices combined with lots of vitamin C that immediately penetrate the skin tissue to reverse signs of sun damage, hyper pigmentation, and discoloration.

16% TCA Peel

Trichloroacetic acid, or TCA peels, are effective for treating a range of skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, and dull, uneven skin texture. Compared to other chemical peels, such as glycolic or salicylic acid, TCA peels are generally stronger and penetrate deeper into the skin and typically require a longer recovery period.

The depth of the peel can be adjusted based on the number of coats applied, making it a versatile treatment option for a variety of skin types and concerns. The TCA peel is also an excellent spot treatment to effectively treat isolated areas of the skin. Overall, TCA peels are a popular choice for experienced peel users seeking a more aggressive chemical peel treatment for their skin concerns. While our TCA 10% is safe for all skin tones, we do not recommend the TCA 20% for medium to dark skin tones due to the increased risk of hyperpigmentation. We strongly suggest using a TCA peel only after successfully completing a lower-strength acid peel with desirable results.

Fusion Peel (Med Peel)

The Fusion peel is an exclusive Med peel formula, created by our very own chemists in our on-site lab. A proprietary blend of Glycolic, Salicylic and Lactic acids, plus natural fruit enzymes, the Fusion peel is a unique formula designed to target the most common skincare concerns for all skin types and skin tones.

This peel is considered medium strength and can be layered up to 3 times for a deeper exfoliation once the first treatment is successfully completed.

Jessner Solution (Med Peel)

The Jessner peel is a 14% blend of equal parts salicylic acid, lactic acid, and resorcinol. This peel is commonly used to address a variety of skin concerns, including acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, and uneven skin tone and texture.

The strength of the Jessner peel is determined by the number of layers applied: 1-3 layers for a light peel, 4-6 layers for a medium peel, 7-8 layers for a deeper peel. Individuals with medium to dark skin tones are advised to NOT apply the Jessner solution beyond 4-6 layers, due to the increased risk of hyperpigmentation.

Glycolic Vary strengths (Med Peel)

Glycolic acid is one of the most known ingredients in skincare. It is a type of alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) naturally found in various fruits, including sugarcane, grapes, and citrus. It is often used in skincare products due to its natural exfoliating and skin-renewing properties. The small molecular size of AHAs, like glycolic acid, enable it to deeply penetrate the skin and break down the bonds that hold dead skin cells together, allowing them to be sloughed off more easily and reveal fresher, brighter skin underneath. Additionally, glycolic acid has been shown to stimulate collagen production in the skin which can help to improve skin firmness and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Glycolic acid targets some of the most common skin issues, such as clogged pores and blackheads, dull, dehydrated skin, and visible signs of aging.

Lymphatic Drainage

Your Lymphatic System & Skin Health

If you have more than a passing interest in your health and well-being, you are probably aware of how important your lymph nodes and lymphatic system are, but you might not be aware of the impact an unhealthy lymphatic system can have on your skin. When this system isn't working as well as it should, you might find you have dehydrated, dull skin, and you may find you're also more susceptible to acne breakouts. So, why is this system so important for good skin health, and how can you help your lymphatic system improve the appearance of your skin?

What Is the Lymphatic System?

Your lymphatic system is a key part of your immune system. Every day, up to two liters of fluid are absorbed by our body tissue from our bloodstream. This fluid, called lymph, contains toxins, waste, bacteria, and viruses that we want to get rid of from our bodies. This job is handled by the network of capillaries and tubes that transport the fluid (lymph vessels) and the 600 or so lymph nodes in our body, which are responsible for filtering out all these toxins and waste, so they don't spread to the rest of our body.

Sometimes, when these lymph nodes are struggling to cope with all the waste and toxins, we need them to get rid of, they can become swollen and less effective. When you have impaired lymphatic function that can't effectively manage all the waste and toxins in your body, this isn't great news for your skin health, and why lymphatic drainage can help.

What Is Lymphatic Drainage?

Lymphatic drainage refers to different techniques used to promote the flow of fluid in the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system doesn’t have its own means of transportation like the heart pumps the blood, so it needs to be accessed manually through lymphatic massage, exercise, deep breathing, Gua Sha etc.

What Is Face Lymphatic Drainage Massage?

This refers to a gentle facial massage used to activate manual lymph drainage of the fluid buildup in the face and surrounding areas. This light lymphatic facial massage helps to improve circulation, promotes lymphatic flow to remove the excess fluid, and pushes the toxins and waste from the lymph nodes.

The benefits of working with the lymphatic system include aiding in your body’s detoxification process, helping put your body into its parasympathetic state (rest and repair) as well as helping to depuff by ridding excess water retention.

Medspa Vs Day spa

Now do not confuse us for a common day spa. We are a Med spa, short for medical spa. Day spas focus more on mud baths, facials, pedicures, and manicures. Med spas are considered a beautiful blend, a facility where you get all the pampering under the supervision of a medical director (our DNP Ruby!) and you get the best when it comes to cosmetic enhancing procedures.
